In the medical and pharmaceutical sector European legislation demands safety features within the product packaging design in order to ensure product safety. But also in other sectors these safety features make sense if you are dealing with sensible goods or articles of a certain value.

The different safety solutions:
1. PROTECTION by self adhesive tapes with INVISIBLE PRINT
This is a new solution developed by INDUPLAST. It is a self adhesive tape with an “invisible print”.
Only the addressee of the products knows how to make the invisible print visible. With a special light the addressee can control if the original self adhesive tape with the “invisible print” is still on the packaging without having been damaged.
This “invisible print” maybe printed on a neutral packaging tape or maybe added on a printed tape – like an invisible supplement /seal. So you can use the self adhesive tape as an advertising medium and at the same time it is complemented with an invisible safety print.
The “all-in-one” solution providing 3 functions:
- solid packaging
- advertising medium / CI
- protection against manipulation via invisible safety print

The invisible print is visible with special light, “invisible print” – ensures that the original tape has not been damaged.

Advantages:
- The self adhesive tape looks like a “normal” packaging tape in a neutral or customized version; the “safety print” is NOT visible.
- The addressee knows about the invisible print and can make it visible with a special light.
- If the original self adhesive tape with invisible print is still on the packaging without having been damaged you can be sure that the packaging has not been manipulated during transport, handling and application.

- Printing, quality and dimensions can be defined according to application (“customized”)
2. PROTECTION by special SECURITY TAPES and SECURITY LABELS
These special security tapes and security labels leave a trace when being manipulated. A notation like “void”, “opened”, “geöffnet” or others indicate clearly that these tapes have been opened and/or manipulated.
SECURITY LABELS are suitable for the product packaging and small packaging items. These labels function like a seal and leave a notation if the goods have been manipulated on the product packaging (transfer version) or within the label (zero transfer version – applicable only on special surfaces).
Security labels are available in different colours and qualities. They can be customized (e.g. with company logo, EAN Code, Security notes or others). Furthermore, they are available with consecutive numbering for traceability of the individual packaging.

SECURITY TAPES are practical to secure cardboard boxes, outer packaging and pallets. They work like security labels which means when opened or manipulated there is a notation on the packaging (transfer version) or within the tape (zero-transfer version – applicable only on special surfaces like metal or glass).

Security tapes are available in different colours and qualities. They can be customized with your individual printing. Furthermore they are available with consecutive numbering and perforation for traceability of the individual packaging.

3. PROTECTION by CUSTOMIZED self adhesive tapes
INDUPLAST is a converter of self adhesive tapes and creates individual, customized tape solutions for different purposes and a large variety of applications.
A certain degree of protection is already done if a self adhesive tape is customized with an individual printing. Normal packaging tapes without printing are available everywhere and can be exchanged easily. A self adhesive tape with individual printing is more difficult to get and demands some efforts. In addition to an individual printing there are further possibilities of individualization like special adhesive tape qualities with structured films, reinforced self adhesive tapes with (coloured) filaments, individual dimensions etc. With the right choice it becomes more and more difficult to copy this special customized version of self adhesive tape.
